It's Friday again which means ....

Today we are going to talk about what to wear to your boudoir shoot as well as I will give you some websites that will hopefully give you ideas or at least inspire you.

Revealing the Bare Facts

What should you wear to your boudoir shoot?
Honestly ladies what ever it is you feel comfortable in, you shouldn't wear something that you wouldn't normally wear or like.
Moving on, lets have a look at some ideas that you can wear to your boudoir shoot
- Corsets
- Babydoll
- Teddy
- Bustier
- Camisole
- Chemise
- Thongs and G-strings
- His shirt
- Costumes
-  or baring it all and just wrapping your pretty self in a sheet!
Don't forget about the accessories ladies - heels, heels and more heels, gloves, necklaces - pearls, hats, fascinators! Whatever you want, your imagination is the limit! The important thing is to make sure that you feel comfortable and you feel sexy with what you're wearing.

Ok so you have decided to do a Boudoir Shoot now most likely you will want to go out and find yourself some sexy lingerie to wear to your shoot well just for you I found this great website KissMeGoodnight regarding lingerie buying tips (plus there is more information regarding lingerie on the website too) that I thought was quite useful and something to think about when looking for lingerie. I have included a small portion of the post below along with a link to read more of this great post.

Top 7 Lingerie Buying Tips

There is nothing better then going lingerie shopping. This is time to pick out something sexy that suits you and your needs. Every woman should treat herself once and a while to that sexy little piece. You are off for an amazing day for sure. The main thing to remember is make sure you love it and it for you so you can enjoy it when you get it home. Here are some tips on what to look for to make your lingerie-shopping trip better.

Absolute Flattery: Make sure you feel like a goddess in you choice of lingerie. Make sure that it compliments your body and does not expose areas that may make you self-conscious. This is supposed to make you feel sexy not awkward. If you do not like the way your butt looks try a camisole or chemise instead of a G-string and garter. If you want to have more cleavage then go for a bustier or corset. Show off your arms and thighs with a great teddy. It is all about what makes you feel and look your best.

Colors: Know what colors make you look fabulous. You don’t want to look washed out. Blondes can pull off just about any pastel color there is. While brunettes look fabulous in those earth tones, stronger colors, and prints. Redheads look amazing in bright sassy colors as well as earth tones too. Nevertheless, go for what you like and try it on. You will be able to tell if it flatters you or it doesn’t. If it makes your eye stand out that is a huge plus.

Boudoirlicious Homework - Back to Basics

I have decided that Every Friday I am going to do some boudoirlicious homework which could be some boudoir ideas and inspiration, helpful tips and hints, lingerie ideas, make up ideas etc good for those considering doing a boudoir shoot.

So today we are going Back to Basics! Finding out What boudoir is & boudoir photography and should you be doing a boudoir shoot?

So what is Boudoir and Boudoir photography?
Boudoir (pronounced boo-dwah) is the french word meaning 'a women's private dressing room.

Personally boudoir photography is about empowering women through images that reflect who she is, it's about getting dressed up (or dressed down), getting in touch with her inner supermodel and celebrating who she is. Boudoir photography is very classy and tasteful portraits with a hint of sexiness.

Is Boudoir for you and should you be doing a boudoir shoot?
Ok, you may have never thought about doing a boudoir shoot before but hey I will give you some reasons why you should definitely consider this style of photography.

1 It's a truly glamorous day. How often do you get to get your hair and make-up done, put on pretty things and have a girly day. This is your chance to be as girly as you want to.

2. Yes you will be most likely be wearing as little as saying your underwear but you know what you will still look amazing on camera. Boudoir photographers know tricks in the book to get you to look sexy on camera, that's what our job is. By the way, you DO NOT have to get naked!

3. There is no better moment than now, you look perfect today and today is the day to flaunt it. There is no sense waiting until you lose the weight, get the boob job or afford the right lingerie for the shoot. If you think you are going to look better in 6 months you are wrong, because like I said, you look perfect today.

4. Perhaps you have a milestone to be celebrating about. Getting married, just quit a job that you didn't like or wasn't taking you any where, pregnant, just had a baby, retired, divorced, lost weight what ever it is celebrate it.

5.It is a perfect gift for your boyfriend/husband/lover/ fiancĂ© ... or even better just for you!

6. Every woman should have at least one photo of themselves that makes them feel good inside when they look at it.

Celebrating You! Body & Mind Project

Seeing the beauty within

Hi Ladies,

I am super excited about this year, I have lots planned. I am starting the year off with a project! Celebrating You! Body and Mind Project.

My name is Chloe Jackson and I am a photographer - Boudoir. Boudoir is a style of photography that is very private in nature. So for one to do a shoot they are either comfortable with themselves or then they have to deal with issues that they may have within themselves that they may feel comfortable leaving underneath the clothes. But lets face it, 99% of us don't have the perfect body! What is the perfect body, it's an illusion. This is my inspiration for this project:

Celebrating You!
BODY & MIND PROJECT

In today's society as women we tend to be very critical of ourselves due to media influences which has a tendency to focus on imperfections (especially physical which then leads to emotional) instead of the real beauty of a woman.

I believe that women come in all
shapes and sizes!

Eating healthy, being active and living a healthy lifestyle is what really matters, not shape and size. It's more important to be healthy than look a certain way, wouldn't it be boring if we all looked and acted the same!

So my mission is to build a community of women that are proud to be who they are, no matter what shape or size they are! They look forward to waking up each morning to celebrate who they are and enjoy life. Through this community I hope it will inspire others to realise that beauty comes from within and it's not based on appearance. My goal is to help one other woman out there, inspire her, help her realise that she is a wonderful person, that she can accomplish her dreams, to celebrate who she is and if I help more than one than that's wonderful! But I am going to aim for one, and take it from there. If you are wanting to do the same, help someone, inspire someone to become a better person. Then please join in with this project, share your story, your journey, your tips, how you celebrate, we all respond differently and different ways work for different people.

To post your story
Now your story could be anything, it could be that you overcome depression, an eating disorder,  your children are your prized possessions and you have never wanted to be anything else other than a mother, you have achieved your goals so far and living your dream life, you know how to work the dance floor, you may want to lose weight but you're still proud of who you are and you wouldn't want to be anybody else and we can come along and support you with your fitness journey, whatever it is, the main thing is that you would not want to be anyone else other than yourself! That is what you must include in your story - Why you love being you!

If you would like to send in your story please answer the questions, or just tell your story or do both. I hope to hear from you soon :)
